Cherie Massenburge is the eldest of her two siblings, Mark and Steven Thompson, from the union of Elder Nelson and Evangelist Lou Ethel Thompson. She received the gift of the Holy Ghost at the age of eight years. She has served in many different areas at her fathers’ church, Ebenezer Apostolic Church; such as Musician, Choir Director, and Sunday School Teacher. She also served as one of the key musicians for the Eastern District Fellowship for many years and has received appreciation for her dedication to the fellowship. Cherie and her husband, Elder Hershal Massenburge , have celebrated their 25th Wedding anniversary and have two daughters, Bretney and Treasure. Cherie by profession is a Registered Nurse. She and her husband serve as Pastor and First Lady of Zion Temple Tyler of the Apostolic Faith in Tyler, TX.. They have worked in this present ministry for the past 20 years. Her desire is to be like Jesus and she strives to be a great and humble servant for the Lord.
